Photos finally. This is an irish hiking scarf I made for my brother for christmas (well it was a bit late):

I also started the cable cardigan form the holiday issue of Vogue Knitting (using cascade lana d'oro in burnt orange) . This is the first 5 inches or so of the back. 3x3 ribbing so far:
